IGP Egbetokun Approves Redeployment of AIG Tunji Disu to Force CID Annex, Alagbon

 


The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has approved the immediate redeployment of Olatunji Rilwan Disu to head the Force Criminal Investigation Department Annex Alagbon, Lagos.

The posting, which takes effect immediately, was approved on Monday, 2 February 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen leadership capacity and enhance operational efficiency within the Nigeria Police Force.

Before his redeployment, AIG Disu served as Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Special Fraud Unit (SFU), where he was instrumental in coordinating investigations into complex financial and economic crimes across the country.

A seasoned and highly experienced officer, AIG Disu has previously held several strategic command positions, including Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory Command, and Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Command, among other key assignments nationwide.

He was promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector-General of Police on 25 March 2025, in recognition of his years of dedicated service and significant contributions to policing, crime prevention and internal security in Nigeria.

The redeployment is expected to further strengthen investigative effectiveness and reinforce the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to professionalism and improved service delivery.
