The late Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Akinade Adejobi, a Prince from the ancient city of Orile Owu in Osun State has been buried on Saturday, April 26th 2025
He passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025, after a brief illness as confirmed by his family source.
Adejo, bi until his death, was the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations for Oyo State Police Command.
His death comes as a rude shock not only to the police force but also to his family, as he was the elder brother of the Force Public Relations Officer, FPRO Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who is currently grieving the loss.
DignitriDignitarieses at the funeral aside from the family members and children of the deceased, were the Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Joe Fadile; the representative of the Corps Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, DCC Olugbesan; the Head of Service in Oyo, Mrs Olubunmi Oni; and the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, represented by Mogajis.
Others included Governor Seyi Makinde’s Executive Assistant on Security Matters, CP Sunday Odukoya (rtd); the Board Chairman of Amotekun Corps, AIG Sikiru Akande (rtd); CP Ayo Sonubi (rtd); CP Rotimi Adelesi (rtd); and the National President of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Mogaji Ibrahim Olaniyan.
