Raising the Bar: Mrs. Lagbaja's Initiative Equips Members with Winning Mindsets

Under the umbrella of President, Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association, Mrs Mariya Lagbaja's Next Level Transformation Agenda, which was unveiled on June 22, members of the Nigerian Army Soldiers Wives Association, NASWA have been empowered with a comprehensive training programme, tagged " Mindset Reorientation Program".

The training which took place today, 11th September 2024 at Mogadishu Cantonment, Sokoto, Abuja is the second edition of the Mindset Reorientation Program to develop necessary tools, skills, and abilities needed to overcome professional challenges, fostering personal growth and transformation.

Speaking at the event, the President, Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association, Mrs Mariya Lagbaja expressed satisfaction that the training programme makes NASWA members to discover who they are, the skills, because so many of them are educated, talented with skills. 

Mrs Lagbaja said the goal Of the Mindset Reorientation Program is to build a community of confident, purpose-driven women to learn techniques to transform negative thinking into a positive one.

"This program, this is the second edition of the Mindset Reorientation Program and honestly, I'm so happy today because this program is first of its kind and I'm happy to say that I'm fulfilled because of the feedback I've had already. You know, we asked of their take back home and what I hear is mind-blowing. For them to be able to realize that, this program actually brings out the best in them.

"It makes them to discover who they are, the skills, because so many of them are educated, talented with skills and today with this program, they're able to find out that, yes, it's not just about coming to collect food items, this is something that will develop their skills and they'll be able to make good out of themselves.

"They'll be able to be productive and to have also things that will be able to sustain them and their families. (1:04) So this program is actually something that's, it's not just for Nawa, it's also for Naswa. (1:10) So Naswa are not left behind and then I'm excited that with what is happening today, you can see all of them. They're smiling, they're happy and I'm excited.

Mrs Lagbaja assured members of Nigerian Army Soldiers Wives Association, NASWA that she is going to take action on each requests for a better living condition in Nigerian Army Barracks. She urged them to continue to pray for their spouses, Nigeria, the Armed Forces, and the Nigerian Army.

In her presentation, Miss Celina Unogwu who trained Soldiers wives on Mindset Reorientation emphasized that the NAOWA President put the program together in order for members of the association to listen to life changing words that will transformed their mind. She noted that when their minds are renewed, transformed, it is possible for positive growth. 

She pointed out that the purpose of the program is for soldiers Wives to first, know how mind works so that the journey of the mind can start and whatever their needs might be would be tackled and solved easily, they can run with it and come out with better result.

SpyeTV News reports that during the training, soldiers Wives where able explore the fundamental concepts of the mind and mind- set. They were able to understand how their  thoughts shape their reality.

The Mindset Reorientation Program organised by the wife of the Chief of Army Staff, Mrs Mariya Lagbaja who doubles as the President of Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association, NAOWA was attended by members of NASWA from all the Barracks in the Federal Capital Territory and neighbouring States.
