DEPOWA Trains Wives Of Military Officers On Visioning And Planning

       

The Defence and Police Officers' Wives Association (DEPOWA) has successfully trained  wives of military officers on personal visioning and planning.

The two days workshop held at the DEPOWA Secretariat, Abuja from 12 - 13 February Abuja exposed  participants  to  the requisite mental tools, strategies and action plans towards achieving their visions and dreams.

Speaking during the event, the DEPOWA President Mrs Musa, noted that the essence of the workshop to build the capacity and mental abilities of the participants was  achieved. 

According to the wife of the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), a woman is a leader, and as such, "we all have inherent qualities that needs to be exploited. Therefore, we need to find ways to bring out those qualities, develop plans to help us balance every area of our lives so that we do not lack behind. 

Mrs Musa further stated that, ‘her expectation is to change the way women think generally, from negativity to positivity with a view to  achieve better results, while impacting the society and their families so as to live a fulfilled life.

In her words, "they have learned new things,  ideas, better equipped and  prepared to face their family, work and visioning challenges all in one breath," the DEPOWA President noted.

Highlight of the event include: presentation of Award of Excellent Achiever to the DEPOWA President and certificates to the participants.
